Liberty Dental Care

Dr. Brian Glover, DDS, brings a diverse background to the practice. He received his dental degree from Columbia University's School of Dental and Oral Surgery, followed by a hospital based postgraduate training program at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY.  He was a partner in a successful general dentistry practice in Long Island, NY for 10 years before relocating to the Raleigh area with his wife Angela, and son Dean.  

Dr. Glover spends his free time developing new ideas for the special effects industry through his company Bubble Time, Inc.  He is responsible for creating the high output soap bubble machines currently seen  in use at such places as Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

Dr. James Chun, DDS PHD MS received his doctoral degree in Dental Surgery from School of Dentistry at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  During school, he worked as a research associate at the Dental Research Center.  He received awards for his work in research and served as the Counselor at National Student Research Group.       

Before his dental career, Dr. Chun received his doctoral degree from the Department of Biochemistry and Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame in 1995.  Following the footsteps of his father, who was a chemistry professor, Dr. Chun accepted a teaching position for chemistry and physics at Elizabeth City State University at Elizabeth City, North Carolina.     

Dr. Chun is married to Jennifer Chun, an immigration attorney.  They have two children, Angela and Andrew.  In his spare times, Dr. Chun enjoys spending time with his family.  His hobby is to read books that mostly consist of history, culture and natural science.

Ms. Annie Shin, BA is the office manager at the West Glenwood location.  She is also the Admissions Director for Eastern College. Annie attended North Carolina State University and graduated with a degree in Communication.  She possesses strong interpersonal skills and although she was born in the States, she can speak fluent Korean.  She feels that her outgoing personality, strong work ethic and genuine concern for the quality care of the patients makes her a great asset to Dr. Chun's practice. She is delighted to be part of the dental practice and has come to know the joy of working with a team whose focus is patient care and comfort.  In her spare time, Annie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing tennis, taking her dog to the park, and traveling.  

Ms. Jiyoon Han is the dental asistant.  She is also trained as dental lab technician.  She can speak fluent Korean and Spanish.  She has been been working in this office for over 5 years.

Ms. Michelle Cardon, RDH is the dental hygienist.  She has been working in this office for over five years.

Ms. Irene Ching, BS works on Saturdays as the patient care coordinator.  She is also the office manager at Computer Drive location.  She has extensive experience in business management and accounting.  She has been working in this office for over four years.

  
Ms. Jungyi Park is a part-time dental hygienist.  She has been working in this office for over five years.

Our History

This dental office was first established by Dr. Herbert Gurthrie in 1965.  After thirty years, Dr. Gurthrie passed the business over to Dr. Lam Chu in 1997.  Dr. Chu introduced Dr. Chun to the practice in 2001.  We have grown together with our patients, and with the city of Raleigh.
